About In Memory Flowers

When a loved one dies all that remains of their life is memories and belongings. More often than not the clothing of a person who has passed is given to family members who finds them too sentimental to part with yet at the same time items of clothing are difficult to display. In Memory Flowers turns these keepsake materials into a work of floral art that can be treasured and admirered.

Fabric into Petals

In Memory Flowers are created using keepsake material that is sentimental to you, therefore each flower is completely unique.

Each Flower is Handmade with Love

Each and every flower is created by hand in my studio. This means your sentimental materials are in good hands and a lot of time and affort is dedicated to getting each detail just right.

Personalised Labels

Each order comes with a personalised label that can say whatever you would like on. Some people ask for a sentimental quote or a fond memory to be written. This works as a gift label if the flowers are being ordered for someone else.

The Process

First the keepsake material is recieved via recorded delivery.
Then time and hardwork is put in to transforming the material clothing in to the chosen type and quantity of flowers.
The finished flowers are then securely sent to the customer along with a personalised label.

How In Memory Flowers Began?

I was contacted by a woman who had seen flowers I create from fabric on social media. She had recently lost a loved one and she was hoping for a keepsake to be made from her dress but she had only found crafters who make keepsake soft toys and cushions.
She asked me if I could create roses using a dress that had belonged to her late sister so that she could display them in her front room.
Until then I hadn’t thought about turning Keepsake materials in to clothing.

I created 7 roses using the dress I was pleased that it brought lots of joy to the grieving woman and meant that she could display her sisters dress forever in pride of place in her home as they were now beautiful roses.

I receiving a touching letter thanking me for the work I had done on the customers new roses so I made a goal is to offer this service to more families who have lost someone they love.

What types of materials can be used?
Almost any keepsake material fabric can be used to create ‘In Memory Flowers’. The general rule is thinner fabrics like cotton, poly cotton, linen, silk and lycra work best. Thicker materials like denim, canvas and wool don’t work as well. If you are not sure whether the keepsake material you want to have turned into flowers is suitable then simply email me a picture of the material and I will get back to you.
